JOSEF focuses on small ranges with up to 5-7 parts and 1o1's, which are produced through various upcycling processes, either from leftover materials or existing items handmade in Berlin.

Prices at JOSEF start from 90€ to 600€. makeclothesforpplnotpplforclothes. Materials are curated at vintage markets or leftover fabrics are purchased by meter from selected fabric retailers, whereby great care is taken when selecting the items of clothing to be processed so that they can also be recycled.

Denim and other solid twill weaves are very often included in the design process, which make the garments durable thanks to their high resistance. Customisations are possible by arrangement, with a corresponding cut being created or modified for each customer and making the part as individual as possible.

The design language is derived from organic shapes that are translated into cuts. Surfaces are becoming more and more of an issue, which are complemented by various quilting techniques, dyeing methods and patchwork elements. The styles are based on current trends, but are not trendy and have their own character, which wants to define a more timeless style.

„To give my brand „JOSEF“ a personal touch, I will formulate a statement about my work. My name is Eric, I ́m berlin based and Josef is vision I have.

I’m a Christian and the story of Joseph from Egypt touched me very deeply, so as not to go into detail and only briefly touch on this, I would like say that great things happened in this story. An entire tribe was saved by an insignificant boy.

Through clever and sustainable business, Josef was able to save his family from certain death. I don’t want to presume too much on myself, but I trust in the vision I have. My brand Josef should not only be an upcycling fashion brand, more will happen, more than I could ever imagine.

At some point, Josef will be a social fashion business that will save a lot of people, wha- tever that may look like, I don’t know yet.

What I do know is that fashion will be a tool for this, but not the main reason.

Art and creativity can do so much more than money.

Sounds very cheesy, but for me it‘s an absolute truth.
