Stella Polare
brand-logo
Stella Polare Scarves are designed by French-Uzbek artist Khulkar Yunusova who lives in Paris, France. Stella Polare is the nickname of the artist, which stands for the importance of art in her life. It is also the translation of her name, which was given to her by her grandmother. Stella Polare's main projects aim to apply and develop the concept of vitaculture to all areas of life. Vitaculture is the urgency of joy. Today Stella Polare is interested in how vitaculture is implemented: People, women and men, society, specific individuals, the letter H in the French language and others.
She has exhibited at UNESCO, the Louvre and the Bukhara Museum. In 2020 Stella Polare was awarded the Tretyakovskaya Prize. In 2021 Stella Polare received permission to exhibit at the Palais Jacques Coeur and organized the exhibition "Message" at the invitation of the French Association A.S.I.E. In the same year 2021 she was invited to the "Parole des Femmes", a public lecture at the home of the great French writer, the Maison de George Sand.
Why scarf?
Stella Polare scarves are an extension of Stella Polare's artistic statement. For Stella Polare, the scarf is a symbol of women's emancipation, a reference to status in Europe, an unchanging element of Paranja history, the honor killing of Nurchon Juldasheva, the life of Tamara Khanum in Uzbekistan, the art of Louise Bourgeois and others. This also raises the question of women's work in the home, which is not taken into account in the national economy. In fact, there is a lot of research behind each pattern. Contemporary artist Stella Polare studies sources related to the chosen theme of the collection she is working on. She experiments extensively before moving on to the final stage of drawing by hand and working on the computer. After completing the drawing and file validation, she sends the image for printing to Italy, near Lake Como, where it is printed and finished.
Why silk?
Silk is the favorite material of Stella Polare. In fact, the country of origin of Stella Polare is Uzbekistan. It is a country that lies on the paths of the Silk Road. The artist loves silk as a symbol of transformation, as the product that surrounds the worm that naturally transforms into a butterfly. Silk is also the symbol of peace, it is the language of diplomatic gifts, gifts to bring back from a trip to share with loved ones or to give yourself, to celebrate your own moment of joy.
